Location

At Polo Ridge in St. James, opposite the Barbados Polo Club. Guests of Stanford House enjoy automatic membership of the beach club facilities at The Fairmont Royal Pavilion, one of the leading hotels in Barbados located on the West Coast which is a ten minute drive from the house.

Architectural Style

Outside

The property is on one level, extending over one acre with mature gardens and an entrance water fountain.

There is a large infinity-edge swimming pool with sun loungers as well as seating areas, a dining gazebo, a covered barbecue area with wet bar, a domed Romanesque gazebo with seating area and a jacuzzi.

Adjacent to the indoor living area, there is a covered terrace with a lounge and dining area overlooking the pool deck.

Inside

The villa has a lare open-plan lounge with French doors that open out onto the covered terrace with views of the pool and ocean.

There is also a media room with a 60" plasma TV with surround sound, satellite TV, DVD player, Sony PlayStation and Wi-Fi. An eight-foot aquarium separates the lounge and media room.

Bedrooms

There are five bedrooms all with ensuites. Four are located in the main house and one bedroom is located in the guest cottage.

In the main house, the master bedroom suite has a king size bed with seating area, 42" plasma TV, dressing area, ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower and air conditioning.

The second bedroom has twin beds (king), the third bedroom has a queen bed and the fourth bedroom has twin beds that can be turned into a king size. The fifth bedroom is in the cottage and has a queen sized bed.

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, hob/stove and dishwasher.
